New Jersey’s child care crisis impacts everyone.

Without affordable child care, young children miss out on fundamental brain-building opportunities. Parents – especially mothers – face the impossible choice of working and struggling to afford child care or leaving the workforce altogether. Employers can't recruit and retain talent, and our economy can't grow.

With a new administration taking office, it's time for child care — especially for infants and toddlers — to be a high priority on New Jersey’s policy agenda.


​Sign the petition and share your child care story to tell Trenton that affordable child care must be at the top of their legislative agenda.

 We call on Governor Mikie Sherrill and state leaders to:

  • Make child care affordable for New Jersey families, 

  • Strengthen the child care workforce, and 

  • Commit to long-term investment that supports child care like the essential infrastructure it is. 

It’s time to put affordable child care first – because New Jersey can’t work without it.
